A friend bought this media player (CiT HDMI Media Player 1080p SATA HDD Compatible HMP314 Full HD LAN HDMI), and it's not behaving quite as the manual says. Unfortunately no website or tech support in any other form is offered, so after much Googling I landed here.
RealTek Transcode Server has failed to install on both XP and Vista from the supplied disc, so I downloaded v1.14 from your Downloads page. That version had the same problem: disc1.cab is corrupt or missing. However, the Samba and BitTorrent services appear to work on the media player, although installation didn't go quite to plan.
I can't see anything that tells us which chipset is in it, but then neither of us knows much about Linux although we can follow clear instructions.
Thanks in advance.
